Scott Bramley is an accomplished singer pianist with a repertoire spanning eight decades, from jazz standards to current chart material. Rooted in the crooning traditions of Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole and Ella Fitzgerald, Scott blends traditional style with contemporary substance to create a sound that transcends genres. Performing professionally since 2003 and having spent a number of years playing onboard cruise ships for the likes of Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, Scott is in his element performing solo piano vocals. Scott also fronts his own trio (piano/vocals, bass & drums), specialising in swing and jazz standards (from the likes of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Nat King Cole, Bobby Darin, Ella Fitzgerald) as well as running a party and function band to cater for the best of the rest from the 60s, 70s, 80s and through to the present day. Since his return to the UK in 2006 Scott has been performing at venues across the country and currently holds residencies at Choice Bar and Restaurant in Manchester and The Sands Venue in Gainsborough (where he has supported great artists including Acker Bilk, Stacey Kent, Frank Carson and Nicola Farnon). Scott also performs private engagements for both private and corporate clients. Scott took up the batton in 2010 as musical director for Doncaster Amateur Operatic Society's centenary production of Disney's Beauty and the Beast and will be leading the company again for their 2011 production of The Hot Mikado. As a music educator, Scott runs brass and percussion workshops in various primary schools as part of Doncaster Music Service’s ‘Wider Opportunities‘ initiative aimed at developing whole class musical tuition. Scott is currently involved as an arranger with Tap Tots, a dance education programme aimed at early years foundation stages. In August 2005 Scott recorded his debut album Ain't Misbehavin' which is available as a download (10 tracks) or to buy as a CD (14 tracks plus bonus track). In August 2008 his trio recorded a live performance at The Sands Venue, Gainsborough, available to download very soon! Background |
